I created a free-account with cnet 10 days ago, and I still don't have yet my product listed. They keep pushing the tentative processing date. very frustrating!

  2. Natali (Submit-Everywhere.com) :

Normally they process submissions in 2 or more weeks.

  3. cookiedoh :

should i leave the download on my site for a while so that google recognises that i'm the originator of the file and doesn't mark my site as hosting duplicate content?

  4. chitra :

I created account and still waiting for dev account activation. As per their email, the processing time is 1 business day but it has been more 1 week still i didnot get any response from them. Sent few emails through contact form. But no response.

  5. Jenny :

    Hi,
My name is Jenny. I am an Associate Partner Manager for CNET Downloads. Do you have your ticket number? If you pass this along, we can get this take care of as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
    Jenny

  6. Larry :

Before you can even upload any products, you have to create a company profile and I'm not sure how long it takes to get an approval for the company. I've been waiting over five days now. I wonder how long it takes to have products uploaded?

  7. Natali (Submit-Everywhere.com) :

Usually, it takes up to a week. You may want to contact their support if it takes longer than that. Please note that they won't approve your account if you are using the author name, e-mail or other info that is already used by another author account. You should receive an appropriate notification from them in this case.

  8. salman khan :

this is a good web site for downloading this website name is a commen name all person like this and all person download another work purpose so write the download .com and i like this web site

  9. Kevin :

First setup an account (<2 hrs.)
Then Get approved as a developer (1-2 Business days)
Then Setup company (1-2 Business days)
    Then Add Program (varies)

Everything went smoothly. Took about 3 days to get where I could upload/add my program. When added system stated the number of programs in front of me in the line waiting for approval along with the approximate number of days. First program submission was 25 days. Program actually approved in 15 days. My second program was just submitted and it stated 31 days for approval with 1164 files in front of mine. Will see how long it goes. Overall easy to work with this site. Have not had any complaints so far.

  10. dawnark :

you are still in luck. We have submit to download for more than half of year, but still failed.

  11. mani :

    driver software

  12. Bernd K. :

Well, you are all trying to get your product listed with them but the real fun begins when you realize that they put some wrong download archive (source code zip instead of windows installer) from some outdated version of your product into their listing, users start complaining about your "unusable" product and because you are completely sick of it already you are now trying to get it entirely REMOVED again from their completely unprofessional site.

    THEN the real fun begins!

  13. atom :

cnet's policy of registration before submission is unnecessary and is a joke.

i published an app on portablefreeware.com and the within a day or 2 it was listed at cnet and elsewhere. therefore, requiring registration is nothing more than further social profiling and invasive information gathering (or they're trying to sell something) the way i see it, else they would not be publishing apps without accompanying registration.

  14. optotronic :

I just filled out their new product form three times from two different browsers (FireFox 4 and IE 8) and it failed each time. Twice I got a "Page Not Found" error after the (apparent) final submit button, and once the image upload part of the page showed a "Page Not Found" message and the "Next" button wouldn't work. I presume it works for someone??

As for the comment form here, it would help if the comment field and the captcha value field were labeled...

  15. Senthil .p :
